Course Structure
The Level 5 Advanced Diploma in Business Administration is structured with 12 mandatory modules, each equivalent to 20 credits. Learners must successfully complete all units and achieve a total of 240 credits to obtain the diploma. The Total Qualification Time (TQT) to complete the full qualification is 2400 hours, while the Guided Learning Hours (GLH) include tutorials, seminars, workshops, directed research, projects, or assignments.
Learners are expected to complete a specific TQT against each unit, including six units from Group 1 and six units from Group 2 to fulfill the requirements of the Level 5 Advanced Diploma in Business Administration.
Entry Requirements
To be eligible for the Level 5 Advanced Diploma in Business Administration, learners must meet one of the following criteria:
- Possess the Qualifi / UK GLOBAL Level 3 Diploma in Business Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
- Hold a Higher Secondary School Certificate/A Level or an equivalent qualification.
- Possess any qualification equivalent to the above.
Assessment
Assessment methods for student performance are primarily based on coursework and assignment submissions. Learners are required to develop an assignment for each unit, with a minimum length of 1500 words. Assignments are a crucial part of the learning process and must adhere to strict rules, including those related to plagiarism, referencing, word length, and presentation style.
All learning outcomes must be assessed using assignments that are appropriate for evaluating knowledge, understanding, and skills. Assessments include a question strand for each unit’s Learning Outcomes, and assignment tasks are designed to address the LO (Learning Outcome) and AC (Assessment Criteria) requirements. Learners are also expected to engage with relevant theory underpinning the subject area.
Valid, sufficient, and authentic evidence of all assessment criteria is required for each assignment. To pass a unit, a learner must achieve a minimum of 50% marks in each assignment.
Assessors are responsible for planning, gathering, and assessing learners’ evidence according to Postgraduate level descriptors’ requirements and on the basis of Pass/Fail criteria. These assessments should be made available for internal moderation by the center’s Internal Quality Assurer (IQA).
UK GLOBAL External Quality Assurers (EQAs) conduct external moderation to monitor the assessment and internal moderation processes within the center, ensuring that the assessment remains fit for purpose and meets assessment standards requirements.
